Access Control - Biometrics

For a higher level of access control, you can incorporate Biometric devices into your access control system. These can be fingerprint readers, hand scanners, eye scanners or facial recognition readers.

 

By combining the requirement for a valid card plus verification via a Biometric reader, a very secure entry arrangement can be achieved.

Biometric fingerprint readers can be incorporated into Sensor's GuardPoint Pro, TDSi's ExGarde Pro , Samsung's SAM software and Suprema's BioStar package, which has been developed around their fingerprint sensor technology.

 

A recent addition to the Biometric reader collection comes from TDSi who have introduced a facial recognition reader which can either operate as a stand-alone unit or can be treated as a card reader attached to an access control system.

 

Other manufacturers supply hand scanners, iris or retina scanners which can also be integrated into a fully monitored access control system.
